Blave Top Traders Exposure

Blave Top Traders (BT) tracks the net exposure of the top 10% of effective traders on Blave, based on performance. It allows users to intuitively understand how top-performing traders are positioned and which tokens they are trading. When top traders are more bullish, the exposure value is greater than 0 (green bar), indicating that the proportion of long positions exceeds short positions. When top traders are more bearish, the exposure value is less than 0 (red bar), meaning that short positions outweigh long positions.

Exposure is a general term that can refer to the total market value of a position or the total amount of possible risk at any given point. If trader with net long exposure (bullish), representing traders' total position size is at the risks and rewards of being long, and vice versa. Net exposure represents the overall exposure after summing long and short positions (long minus short).

Effective traders are defined as those who: Have more than $1,000 in assets in their perpetual futures account. Are evaluated using a multi-dimensional scoring system that includes Sharpe ratio, maximum drawdown, account capital and duration, etc.

Blave Top Traders Position

The Blave Top Trader Position provides insights into the token allocations of these traders—showing their long and short positions, token weights, and portfolio composition—making it a useful reference for selecting trading targets.

Limitations and Challenges? 🤨

The following limitations and challenges are summarized from historical experience and may change through the time. Only by fully understanding how the data is made and its advantages and disadvantages can release its maximum values.

• Data Quality and Effectiveness: the perps market is highly volatile, and traders' net exposure can change at any moment. The number of Blave traders to some extent affects the validity of the data. Additionally, traders' net exposure does not necessarily correlate strongly with market trends.
• Dynamic Change of Effective Traders: the composition of effective traders may change over time. There are no all-time winners or losers in the market, and changes in the sample of effective traders can affect the consistency and validity of the data.
• No Indication of Buy or Sell Signals: Blave Top Traders only displays information related to the changes of positions net exposure in the perpetual futures market, and cannot represent information about buying and selling prices to tokens, or provide relevant guidance.
• No Value Cap and Floor: the value of Blave Top Traders is calculated based on actual effective traders’ exposure data, the value may increase/decrease through the time, there is not absolutely value cap or floor of Blave Traders. Past historical values do not necessarily represent the future.
